JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Has direct operational oversight of a portfolio of boutique and lifestyle hotels.
- Communicates and executes hotel brand(s) and strategy.
- Recruits and manages the training of regional corporate support team and property general managers.
- Guides and oversees the preparation of property and corporate department budgets.
- Provides effective people leadership of assigned hotels by attracting, motivating, developing, rewarding and retaining top talent.
- Sets goals, monitors work, and evaluates results to ensure that departmental and organizational objectives and operating requirements are met and are in line with the needs and mission of the organization.
- Evaluates the results of overall operations regularly and systematically and reports these results to the Executive Vice President(s) of Operations and COO.
- Ensures a professional image at all times through appropriate business appearance and dress.
- Follows and promotes company policies and procedures and is able to effectively articulate and present the Company's vision and values.
- Responsible for the overall Revenue, Sales, and Operational Performance of each asset in their region.
- Promotes Company's policies and philosophies to all General Managers. Ensure proper follow up and follow thru on company deadlines and initiatives.
- Consistently and proactively measure hotel performance (Sales, Revenue, Market Share, GSS, GOP, Accounts Receivable) to ensure hotel exceeds target goals.
- Responsible for ensuring all hotels meet the Brand Guidelines for service, quality, training, and product. All hotels must pass annual and bi-annual inspections.
- Conducts weekly calls focused on monitoring hotel performance and updating any general concerns.
- Effectively monitor Accounts Receivable performance monthly to ensure company compliance by all hotels.
- Conducts annual General Manager Performance Evaluations.
- Conducts monthly P&L Reviews with each General Manager to ensure focus on areas of opportunity and develops actions plans to improve performance.
- Review of Monthly Performance Reviews by each property.
- Participates on Weekly Revenue Calls regarding Focus Assets or those not meeting RPI goals.
- Works jointly with the Regional Revenue Manager and Regional Director of Sales in their region to ensure Sales, Marketing, and Revenue strategies are in line allowing us to achieve RPI goals.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration, Business, or Marketing or equivalent.
- Minimum of 7 years in progressive regional operations leadership role.
- Independent and Luxury Resort experience required.
- Los Angeles/Southern California based preferred

- Knowledge and deep understanding of all aspects of hotel operations.
- Must be detail oriented, with strong self organization and communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills relative to impact on hotel revenues.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong financial and business acumen.
- Strong understanding of revenue management principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, focus on Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Ability to travel extensively.
- Must have flexible work hours that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
