Your Role

As a Graphic Designer, you will:

The Graphic Designer uses adobe illustrator to help design apparel

ranges and set up art fille packages for production. They must

possess a great eye for detail and maintain Valour's high standards

while catering to client specifications. Their work will ensure a

cohesive brand experience across all garments, embellishments, and

product ranges.

  • Concept range Development:
  • Using some predesigned concepts as a base, they will Generate and expand design concepts across multiple garments and sports apparel. Consistency and accuracy will be key.
  • Create individual art files for each garment that include logo specifications, PMS colours, fabric selections to send to our factory and ensure garments are ready for make. This process requires a lot of attention to detail.
  • Using adobe illustrator, the designer will assist creating and updating our line drawings for our garments using Valours already completed cads as a reference.
  • Develop custom prints, patterns, and embellishments tailored to the client’s brand identity, ensuring high-quality, on-brand designs.
  • Partner closely with the Head of Design to ensure all designs are technically feasible, align with product specifications, and uphold Valour’s design standards.
  • Create digital and print ready range presentations for the sales team to take to client meetings.
  • Using adobe photoshop, produce digital versions of garments from 3D valour template files. Also,assist in creating our own 3D template files to use going forward.
  • Maintain cohesive graphic standards across Valour’s product ranges, ensuring logos, typography, and colours remain consistent and reflect the Valour brand.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in sportswear, activewear, and graphic design, incorporating fresh ideas and innovations into each collection.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, making necessary revisions to ensure designs meet client expectations and adhere to Valour’s brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to bring client ideas to life through apparel ranges, bridging creative design with sales objectives.
  • Support the design team with essential administrative tasks, including file organization, maintaining design asset libraries, and preparing materials for design reviews and client presentations. Tracking project timelines, and ensuring timely updates to design briefs. Schedule frequent meetings with the design team to discuss any issues or areas of concern.
  • Using Adobe InDesign, assist with designing marketing materials, including price boards, event collateral, advertisements, brochures, and general graphic design assets to support Valour’s brand initiatives

What You Need

Non-negotiables

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fashion Design, or related field (preferred).
  • 4+ years in graphic design, with specific experience in apparel design for sportswear or activewear.
  • Experience creating technical artwork for apparel, including mockups and print production-ready graphics.
  • Familiarity with the apparel design and production process, from concept through to launch
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) for graphic and apparel design.
  • Experience in 3D apparel design software is highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of colour theory, typography, and print and manufacturing production techniques.
  • Knowledge of garment construction and performance fabrics

  • Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to quickly incorporate feedback and work collaboratively with cross-functional team
