What’s the opportunity?
The Senior Operations Manager (EMEA) plays a pivotal role in advancing Telstra Health’s vision of improved and connected digital health solutions. By overseeing the successful execution and delivery of key projects, this role ensures that initiatives are aligned with enhancing digital health services.
Through effective management of delivery timelines, resources, processes and stakeholder expectations, the Senior Delivery Manager drives efforts achieve operational excellence and that directly contribute to improved care outcomes and a more integrated healthcare experience for the community.
This role will be required to work in our primary international locations in the EMEA region. The international opportunities may require the role to be based in these jurisdictions from time to time or for extended periods of time (up to two years). Frequent travel is likely to be necessary between geographies within the region, as required by customer and market activity.
About the role:
- Act as Senior Stakeholder engagement lead for all client facing delivery, including where appropriate acting in project specific roles such as Project Director.
- Accountable for establishing appropriate Project Governance and Quality Assurance models that reflect Telstra Health Customer Success standards.
- Proactively engage with clients and internal Regional Sales and Account management teams to identify opportunities for growth. Support sales processes to secure growth opportunities where relevant.
- Accountable for ensuring that there are region relevant Delivery, Implementation, Managed Service and Support frameworks in place that are supported by robust Project and Resource management methodologies and tooling. Where appropriate, align frameworks and tools to Customer Success best practice.
- Provide leadership to internal and external teams, to create a team culture based on delivery and service excellence.
- Manage a highly effective and financially sustainable delivery and implementation function across the EMEA region, delivering outcomes for customers across different environments and technology stacks
- Develop and maintain resource plans, that result in profitable and sustainable regional delivery. Proactively monitor resourcing to ensure alignment to Program Portfolio delivery needs whilst balancing financial performance. Identify opportunities for cost saving and ensure alignment with strategic objectives and financial policies
- Establish effective Program Portfolio management practices that ensure the team are managing, coordinating and contributing to multiple successful projects, including project planning, change request management, resourcing, scheduling, invoice generation. Assist with invoice payment and debt management processes when required.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, partners, and service providers, evaluating their performance, negotiating contracts, and ensuring alignment with business objectives, service level agreements (SLAs) and other agreed metrics.
- Work with Senior Governance, Assurance and Compliance Specialist & Data Protection Officer and key central resources to ensure a comprehensive Information Security Management strategy to protect the organisation's data and systems. Identify and mitigate technology risk through proactive measures and incident response planning.
About you:
- Relevant Bachelors/Undergraduate degree (e.g. Healthcare background, Information Systems, Information Technology etc.) or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in operational, project management or delivery management, with a track record of successfully leading large operational teams across UK and EMEA regions
- Experience managing complex software implementation and support projects including the UK and the GCC
- Experience in implementing complex Healthcare Financial Programs such as Healthcare Costing, Budgeting or RCM including long term managed service offerings
- Proven ability to create high performing operational teams that effectively deliver operational and project outcomes for customers
- Experience in successfully managing a variety of agile and fixed scope projects
- Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively with diverse audiences, from technical teams to senior leadership.
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies, demonstrating a strong understanding of agile and waterfall approaches. Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification (desirable).
- Experience in managing people leaders and working through others.
