Job description

Our client is seeking a meticulous and self-motivated Clinical Auditor to join their team. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies across clinic locations. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with internal and external departments to support a seamless flow of potential patients while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.

Position Summary:
The Clinical Auditor is responsible for conducting detailed audits of clinical documentation, coding, and billing processes. This includes ensuring compliance with ICD-10 and CPT coding standards, as well as regulations set by major insurance providers such as Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Aetna. The role requires a candidate with a strong work ethic, a proactive β€œcan-do” attitude, and the ability to work independently with exceptional attention to detail.

The successful candidate will embody the core values of teamwork, resilience, open-mindedness, ownership, and positivity, while exercising discretion and professionalism in all patient and staff interactions.

Salary - $1500 per month

Type of Work - Full time (REMOTE)

Work Schedule - Eastern US Timezone

Requirements

    • In depth background in a remote set-up of work similar to freelancing as an Independent Contractor (deep understanding on the pros & cons involved in this industry).
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding systems.
    • Proven experience with insurance billing and coding, particularly with Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and other insurance carriers.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Previous experience in clinical audit, quality assurance, or healthcare compliance, preferred.
    • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and auditing software.
    • Certification in healthcare compliance or auditing (e.g., CHC, CHCA) is a plus. Work Environment
