teamative is looking for a highly experienced Azure Operations Engineer with German language skills to join our team remotely! This role is ideal for someone with extensive experience in Azure VM setup, infrastructure deployment, and server management, especially within Windows environments. You’ll be responsible for setting up and managing VMs, handling secure account creation, monitoring server health, and using tools like PRTG Monitor and WSUS to ensure optimal performance.

Fluency in German is essential, as you’ll work in German-speaking environments, and occasional travel to Germany for client meetings is expected (expenses covered). If you have advanced skills in VM interface management, experience with GNU Privacy Guard, SFTP, and web server operations, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving, we’d love to have you on the teamative team.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of setting up VMs on AZURE with Infrastructure Deployment Pipelines.
• Basic knowledge of IaS (Infrastructure as Code) and working with pipelines
• Very good knowledge of VM interface management (in particular port activation, etc.)
• Very good knowledge of creating & changing accounts (secure handling of private and public keys and creation)
• Experience with GnuGPG and the associated scripts (creation of key pairs for GPG, encryption/decryption of files)
• Very good knowledge in monitoring, scanning & patching of servers (app server, web server, DB server, SFTP server). Currently only Windows VMs are currently in use; knowledge of the WSUS service is therefore a basic requirement. Azure services and the PRTG monitor are used for monitoring.
• Experience with PRTG Monitor (incl. creation of pointers, etc.) desirable
• Basic knowledge in the operation of database servers (MS-SQL Server)
• Good knowledge of operating SFTP servers (with account, key, authorisations, folder structure, etc.)
• Very good knowledge in the operation of web servers (configuration of IIS; support in setting up websites)
• Additionally: knowledge of LINUX VMs desirable; but not a knock-out criterion
• Good knowledge of German and English (B2/C1)
