Job Description

  • Coordinate R&D program requirements, internal resources and third-party suppliers for the flawless execution of SoC design projects from the early concept phase to mass production
  • Develop and manage the overall project plan spanning the entire SoC development cycle closely with the functional team leaders, product architects, product line management and management stakeholders.
  • Identify schedule and program risks and drive its mitigation and resolution
  • Align deliverables from internal teams and external partners such as silicon manufacturing, soft/hard IP, packaging, assembly and test, qualification, volume production
  • Create project tracking indicators and drive technical and commercial project milestone reviews with management
  • Assist the R&D and procurement teams in vendor selection and 3rd party outsourcing engagements
  • Manage the project development cost estimation and monitor actuals within agreed budgets
  • Co-manage 3rd party IP insourcing with respect to commercial, contractual and schedule aspects together with the engineering and architecture leads
  • Coordinate the post-silicon activities among internal teams and external vendors through the phases of wafer test and assembly, validation, HV test development and qualification and ensure seamless hand-over to volume production

Qualification

  • Master’s degree (Dipl.-Ing.) or PhD in electrical engineering or computer science
  • Proven working experience in project management for complex SOC designs and/or a related area of the SOC development
  • Solid understanding of the SOC development and manufacturing cycle, preferably with state-of-the-art silicon technologies
  • Solid organizational skills, proven ability to drive complex development programs across multiple teams in an international and interdisciplinary environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English is a must
  • Experience in SOC quality engineering is a plus
  • Experience in working with COT foundries and OSATs is a plus
  • Certification of Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II is a plus
