Job description

The Manager of Compensation & Benefits will be an integral member of EAME People leadership team working side-by-side to People Partners and Country managers across the region on compensation and benefits related matters.

This role will continue establishing best practices and activities that will support our efforts to attract and retain high-quality employees and reduce turnover. In addition, the incumbent will provide compensation and benefits support to People Partners, Functional and Business Units Leaders by shaping and delivering with consistency local and global initiatives. This role is also responsible for ensuring that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulation.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide guidance/advice in all compensation and benefits related matters for the EAME region
  • Manage the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs such as: Workplan preparation workforce planning, on/off cycle compensation process for all European units
  • Support with implementation, monitoring and tracking of compensation and benefits policies according to global guidelines such as on target bonus, benefits, and long-term incentives
  • Assist the region with tools to design, revise, and improve local Sales incentive plans in compliance with internal policies
  • Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommend changes that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives
  • Provide advice to regional and local staff on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations
  • Develop techniques for compiling, preparing, and presenting data
  • Oversee the participation in salary surveys and monitors salary survey data to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations
  • Ensure salaries and benefits comply with the current legislation about human rights and pay equity
  • Identify trends and implement new practices to engage and motivate employees
  • Conduct research on employee satisfaction (e.g., using surveys and quantitative data)
  • Keep track of prevailing pay rates and make sure we offer competitive compensation plans
  • Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of employee benefit programs
  • Provides advice on job levelling and classification analysis, serving as a trusted resource for internal customers, specifically People/HR partners.


Measures of success

  • Implement and monitor initiatives that will attract/retain quality talent within the region.
  • Track/Monitor/Address People systems (Success Factor) for on target data accuracy
  • Track/Monitor the progress of Regional/Local Balance score card
  • Monitor and track People efficiency metrics using dashboard to ensure accuracy of labor costs (i.e., attrition, learning, etc.).
  • Manage projects in reward and recognition as per need of countries, region management and global compensation and benefits team
  • Play a key role of interface between EAME countries and management in terms of approval process (new hires, replacements, cycle salary increases)
  • Ensure internal job architecture and benchmark is aligned with local, regional, and global policies.
  • Participate in the annual market benchmark reviews, in collaboration with Mercer


Critical experiences for success


To be successful in this role you will have/be:

  • BSc in Business, Human Resources Management, Finance, or relevant field
  • Experience as a Compensation and Benefits Manager or similar regional role
  • Knowledge of European regulations and compliance requirements related to employee’s compensation.
  • Extensive track record of partnering successfully with all levels of employees/leaders in a creative, dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to influence and motivate indirect team across geographies, sharing best practices and helping to steer initiatives without direct control.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data accurately.
  • High attention to details
  • Must have Expert/Proficient skills in Excel
  • Experience building power point presentations and presenting data based on target audience.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with senior management.
  • Language: fluency in English is a must, and any additional European language is a plus
  • Travel Requirement: Approximately 20% within the region and at EAME HDQ

The following experiences are preferred:

  • Hands-on experience with HRIS (e.g., Success Factor) or payroll software
  • Knowledge of building compensation packages and bonus programs for various departments and seniority levels
  • Excellent understanding of job evaluation and job analysis systems
  • Advanced power point skills/knowledge
