Position Description

The General Manager of NA Colocation will oversee the full lifecycle of colocation business and growth for all of North America. This role carries full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility and will drive strategic growth by leveraging 80/20 principles to prioritize high-impact initiatives. Reporting to the VP/GM – NA Data Centers, the General Manager will guide sales, engineering, and cross-functional collaboration with operations and quality teams to ensure excellence in service, delivery, efficiency, and long-term client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic growth initiatives rooted in 80/20 principles to maximize profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the financial performance of the colocation business, ensuring revenue growth and profitability targets are met.
  • Lead the sales team in acquiring, retaining, and expanding key colocation accounts.
  • Provide direction to engineering teams to ensure the technical design and delivery meet customer expectations.
  • Work closely with other departments to drive continuous improvement and uphold industry-leading standards.
  • Partner with operations, quality, and aftermarket teams to ensure seamless execution of colocation services.
  • Foster a high-performance culture by mentoring and developing leaders within sales, engineering, and other relevant teams.
  • Stay informed on market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics in the data center vertical.
  • Represent the company at industry events and forums to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership.

Required Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field
  • MBA is preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience within finance, engineering, operations or related functional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in managing cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams across sales, engineering, operations, and quality functions.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze, forecast, and drive profitability.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both internally and with clients.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution and problem-solving.
  • Experience in 80/20 working environment with proven capability to utilize 80/20 thinking for analyzing all aspects of the business highly preferred.
