POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

Position: PROJECT MANAGER 


PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Project Manager must be able to apply sound and diverse knowledge of architectural principles and practices in a broad array of assignments and related fields. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:                                                                                            

  • Plan, manage, direct, and supervise architectural aspects of report, design, or construction projects
  • Execute complex and novel assignments requiring development and implementation of new and improved techniques and procedures and consults with Supervisors regarding unusual complexities and developments
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of finished plans, specifications or approval of materials and construction
  • Attend Owner / Architect / Contractor meetings throughout the duration of the project, including during construction
  • Manage multiple small to large project budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentations; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments
  • Estimate fees, determine scope of work, and prepare proposals and contracts  
  • Execute projects within client budget, firm fees and project schedule and foster new and existing client relationships
  • Apply the applicable industry codes and standards to architectural work performed

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS


EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture

 

CERTIFICATION:

  • Professional registration as a licensed Architect is required
  • LEED accredited professional is preferred
  • PMP Certification is a plus

EXPERIENCE:

  • This is a mid to senior-level position
  • 10+ years of experience in an architectural practice with 5+ years demonstrating skills as a project manager

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Understanding of Revit and AutoCAD to facilitate communication & project planning with PA and technical support
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project or other project management software 
  • Experience with cost estimating at the programmatic phase and throughout construction document phase
