Job description

Genesis10 is seeking a Scrum Guide for a contract with our client in Rochester, MN. 100% Remote.

Job Summary:

The Scrum Guide is responsible for facilitating the scrum process, ensuring that all team members are working together to achieve the product/project goals. The Scrum Guide will help the team stay on track and ensure that everyone is following the established processes and procedures. They will also be responsible for resolving any conflicts or issues that arise during the project. Additionally, the Scrum Guide will provide guidance and support to the team, helping them to become more effective and efficient in their work.

Key Responsibilties:
  • The Scrum Guide will work in the Center for Digital Health, with the purpose of extending our agile expertise and helping deliver digital solutions and products to consumers, patients, and providers to improve their health journey.
  • The Scrum Leader facilities workflows in a scrum environment, ensuring that members of the team follow through on their respective duties and responsibilities.
  • Guides and coaches the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers.
  • Gets team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.
  • Collaborates with Product Managers, Product Owners, Engineering and Experience Design partners to ensure successful deliver
  • Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines.
  • Coaches the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skillset, domain knowledge and communicates effectively, both internally and externally working within the Scrum team.
  • Works with the Scrum Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support the product teams.
  • Resolves team impediments with other Scrum Leaders to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization.
  • Works with Agile coaches and other Scrum Leaders to grow within the role.
  • Contributes to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization.
  • Facilitates and supports all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
Required Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma.
AND
  • 4+ years relevant experience required.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum principles, practices, and theory
  • Ability to facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Experience in coaching teams on Agile and Scrum values and principles
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills
  • Understanding of software development processes and procedures
  • Ability to track and report progress against project goals
  • Knowledge of tools and techniques for effective product backlog management
  • Experience with metrics and analytics to measure
  • Professional Scrum Master I Certification Required and SAFe Agilist Certification preferred
  • Experience navigating transformation in highly regulated industries is a plus.
  • Exemplifies and promotes Agile values and principles.
  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills.
  • Strong, demonstrated knowledge of Scrum and understanding of the software development life cycle.
  • Adept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques.
  • Planning and problem solving with product management and delivery teams.
  • Strong interpersonal, networking, collaboration skills and cultural awareness.
Preferred: Azure Dev Ops, Google Cloud experience, bachelor's degree
 
Compensation: Hourly W2 pay rate $70-$80
