Position Summary: 
The US Trade Show Manager utilizes marketing and trade show expertise and highly detailed administrative skills to support NeoGenomics’s trade show program.
 
Core Responsibilities: 
  • Manages, organizes, and coordinates NeoGenomics participation in conferences and trade shows
  • Responsible for contracting, budgeting, program planning and development, research, registration, hotel, program implementation and onsite management
  • Maintains accurate and organized records for the marketing budget, project timelines, and invoice deadlines
  • Manages payment of invoices for all trade shows including onboarding new vendors, exhibit space, and show services to ensure critical deadlines are met
  • Completes all projects within a specified timeline and within a budget, managing individual budgets +/- 5% of target by tracking all trade show expenses, actuals to budget forecast
  • Liaises on vendor contracts with appropriate staff and billing in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Creates, maintains, and fulfills calendar of event-related deadlines for scientific abstract submission, advertising, and materials deadlines
Additional Responsibilities (may be assigned):
  • Archive obsolete marketing material
  • Organize and maintain shared files
  • Oversee department Oracle submissions, administrative support of purchasing card reconciliation, liaise with finance and accounting as needed
Experience, Education and Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Business or a relevant field is required
  • 5+ years of experience managing trade shows, preferable in healthcare or life sciences
  • Self-starter requiring little oversight, comfortable working as part of a team, able to self-motivate and multi-task
  • Must be able to assess and prioritize workload in a deadline-driven environment
  • Work must be thorough and accurate, passionate commitment to quality, attention to detail and ability to problem solve are critical
  • Ability to remain focused on project objectives, remaining calm and in control throughout all phases of the event management cycle
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in typing and working in MS Office programs
  • Excellent written grammar and punctuation. Writing sample will be requested.
