Our flagship platform, Highrise, is where millions of people express themselves, engage in shared experiences, and create deep friendships. Over 40 million people have already joined the world of Highrise, and it's growing faster every day. Through Highrise, we are connecting the world through shared community created experiences and realizing the positive potential of the internet.

About the Role:

As a Product Designer, you will play a key role in shaping the user experience of Highrise. This position offers a unique opportunity to design impactful, intuitive, and visually stunning experiences that resonate with millions of users. You'll work closely with product managers, engineers, and data analysts to craft user-centric solutions that elevate the way people connect and engage within Highrise.
This is a role for a designer who is eager to create systems that are as functional as they are beautiful. You'll be expected to combine analytical thinking, user research, and a keen design sense to deliver features that are both innovative and aligned with our vision.

For those in the USA, we have a strong preference for this person to be located in Austin, Texas. It will be located onsite in our office.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Design Projects: Own the design process for features and systems, taking them from concept to implementation.

  • User-Centered Design: Create experiences that align with user needs and preferences, informed by research, testing, and feedback.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with product managers, developers, and marketing teams to align on goals and deliver cohesive user experiences.

  • Iterate and Optimize: Continuously improve designs based on A/B testing, player feedback, and data insights.

  • Maintain Design Systems: Ensure consistency across all visual and interaction elements by evolving our design systems.

  • Drive Innovation: Propose and implement creative solutions that push the boundaries of social gaming and community building.

  • Documentation: Clearly communicate design decisions and processes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in product or game design, demonstrated by a portfolio showcasing impactful user experiences.

  • Expertise in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.

  • Strong understanding of user research methods, interaction design principles, and UI/UX best practices.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly.

Bonuses:

  • Experience designing for gaming, live-service products, or social platforms.

  • Familiarity with agile development processes and tools like JIRA or Trello.

  • Knowledge of player motivation and monetization strategies.

Why work with us:

  • Impact: Your work will directly affect millions of users around the world.

  • Growth: Your growth isn’t capped by a career ladder. Show us you can deliver the impact, and we’ll respond with recognition and reward.
