Overview:

Position Title: Workers’ Compensation Claim Consultant (Remote - CA) 

Location: Remote

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Salary Range: $78,000 - $90,000

Are you a seasoned workers' compensation adjuster looking to leverage your expertise while enjoying the flexibility of a fully remote position? CCMSI is seeking a Workers' Compensation Claim Consultant to join our dynamic team. This role handles a multi-account desk focused solely on California jurisdiction and offers the opportunity to work with a supportive team dedicated to excellence in claims management.

What We’re Looking For:
  • 5+ years of experience in California workers' compensation claims.
  • Deep technical knowledge of California workers' compensation regulations.
  • CA Self-Insurance Certification (SIP) preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • Investigate, evaluate, and adjust workers’ compensation claims according to CA laws and CCMSI standards.
  • Establish and recommend reserves within authority levels.
  • Authorize and process payments for medical, legal, and damage-related expenses.
  • Negotiate settlements in line with corporate standards and state laws.
  • Coordinate with external vendors (legal, surveillance, case management) as needed.
  • Maintain accurate claim files and provide timely communication to clients and claimants.
  • Prepare detailed reports on claim status, payments, and reserves.
  • Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and legal conferences.
  • Assist with client training sessions and claim reviews.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of California workers’ compensation adjusting experience required.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • CA Adjuster’s License (or ability to obtain one).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
