Partners with PHS departments to write and update policies, procedures, processes, job aids, work instructions, user manuals, briefs, and related technical/administrative publications. Serves as a liaison between PHS departments and Compliance/Legal/Regulatory Operations to ensure regulatory compliance of departmental policies. Provides action-oriented reporting/scorecard on P&Ps for various PHS leadership committees and produces the materials for the PHS P&P Committee. Establishes and trains departments to ensure adherence to PHS process writing standards while maintaining alignment to process workflows when applicable. Maintains the library of P&P tools and templates

Ideal Candidate:
Bachelors degree in Communications/Business/Professional Writing or related field and two (2) to five (5) years technical writing experience including editing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Communications/Business/Professional Writing or related field and two (2) to five (5) years technical writing experience including editing.
- Superior writing and analytical skills, plus a background in supporting and writing policies, procedures, job aids, and work instructions.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to function under stress and deadlines, and ability to work efficiently in a team environment while supporting various departments.
- Requires intermediate to advanced skills in the following software products or similar products: MS Office Suite of products, Electronic mail, Internet navigation, Acrobat for electronic publishing, and Visio.
- Able to interview personnel, analyze various types of written material, and consolidate the information into an organized, understandable format.
- Ability to partner with internal regulatory units to understand regulation and ensure policy reflects adherence to that regulation

Responsibilities:
- Partners with PHS departments to analyze, write, and update PHS-wide procedures, processes, policies, process flows, job aids, work instruction.
- Set up documents of all types for electronic publishing. Convert files from hard copy to different kinds of publication formats and establish navigation for same.
- Develop and produce the materials (packets) for the PHS Policy and Procedure Committee, including scorecard, agenda, and supporting P&Ps.
- Establish, implement, and execute training to PHS departments on level 4 documentation best practices and standards.
- Maintains the library of P&P tools and templates.
- Interview subject matter experts, supervisors, managers, and directors for information in the development of level 4 documentation.
- Develop material for both hard copy and electronic publishing and edit, standardize, and modify material prepared by other writers or other department personnel.
