Summary of Job Duties:
The Nurse Informaticist (NI) Intermediate combines clinical expertise and information science to design, implement, and evaluate informatics solutions and health IT applications. They translate clinical needs into seamless technology functions, ensuring efficient EHR workflows. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, IT, and Clinical Informatics, the NI drives system improvements, supports data-driven performance, and enhances documentation accuracy. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Bachelors in Nursing
Five (5) years of Registered Nursing experience
Valid AR RN License
Obtain ANCC or other relevant certification in Nursing Informatics within 2 years of obtaining position
Special knowledge, abilities and skills:
Must demonstrate expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Teams.
Obtain and maintain certification in appropriate Epic application within first year of employment
Understanding of regulatory and compliance standards of various organizations/ agencies (TJC, CMS, ADH etc
Experience in managing multiple priorities, projects and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters in Nursing Science or related field ,
Experience in academic setting
MSN, ANCC certification in Nursing Informatics;
Current Epic certification in a clinical application related to nursing
