We are looking for a Software Engineer – Wordpress ! You will be based at The Island, our office in central Paris.

Your key missions

Requirement Framing and WoW

  • Help translate business and functional requirements into documented technical User Stories and ensure solutions meet requirements outlined in the design documentation.

  • Collaborate with other Product team members to craft clear user stories, design tests for prototypes and products, and continuously deliver product enhancements.

  • Assist in troubleshooting, updating and enhancing existing systems.

  • Retain responsibility for maintenance of delivered software.

  • Attend and contribute to Agile rituals of the Product Squad.

  • Align WoWs with other chapter members to ensure consistency across products.

Development lifecycle

  • Work with new software applications and upgrade same as and when required.

  • Design, code, test, and debug software applications according to specifications.

  • Participate in and lead code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.

  • Build end unit test with an eye towards automated regression and unit test scripts

  • Ensure the delivered solutions are developed and tested to rigorous standards.

  • Actively participate in deploying application artifacts to appropriate target environments using the supported technologies and infrastructure.

  • Ensure Continuous Integration and Build is in place, following change management policy/procedure and proper documentation procedure.

Tech watch and Upskilling

  • Understand collection of a series of technologies relevant to domain.

  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Maintain technical skills and expertise through continuing education and training.

  • You have a degree in a technology-related field

  • You have 7 to 10 years experience with building, deploying and managing CMS Websites, ideally in a SaaS environment and at least 5+ years experience with Wordpress, working with CI/CD tools (Github) and testing framework

  • You have deep expertise in software engineering and a strong expert technical background

  • Ideally, experience with Pantheon

  • You have strong communication skills, with the ability to talk with both technical & non-technical stakeholders

  • You are a team player able to work in an agile development environment

  • You have strong knowledge and insights into key challenges for Brand Content & Engagement business domain, or Consumer facing websites.
