Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled WordPress Site Administrator to maintain and enhance our websites. In this role, you will ensure our WordPress sites are secure, performant, and aligned with branding and business requirements. This position focuses on core WordPress site administration and requires a strong grasp of WordPress development, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• WordPress Management: Maintain, update, and troubleshoot WordPress core, themes, and plugins to ensure seamless functionality.
• Custom Development: Create and manage custom WordPress themes and plugins using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Content Migration: Migrate and organize content from legacy sites to new WordPress installations.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize site performance using caching, minification, and image optimization techniques.
• Security Implementation: Harden WordPress installations, ensure GDPR compliance, and implement SSL protocols.
• Collaboration: Work with teams to understand business objectives and implement solutions that meet those needs.
• Branding Consistency: Ensure websites maintain consistent branding and deliver an engaging user experience.
• Database Management: Optimize and maintain MySQL databases to ensure website stability and performance.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in WordPress and its plugin ecosystem.
• Expertise in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (including jQuery).
• Experience with custom theme and plugin development.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL database management.
• Familiarity with Git for version control.
• Solid understanding of web security best practices and GDPR compliance.
• Proven ability to optimize website performance through caching and multimedia enhancements.
