Cisco UC Engineer (Freelance)

Contract Period: January 2025 – December 2025
Start Date: ASAP (as soon as possible)
Location: No restrictions (remote work possible, with one two-week onboarding trip to Germany)

Requirements:

• Languages:
  • German: B2+ level (spoken and written)
  • English: C1 level (for collaboration with international teams)
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong expertise in Cisco Unified Communication Manager systems (CUCM, CUP, Unity, Andtek, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Cisco Jabber and Genesys Contact Center
  • Experience with Cisco UCS hypervisors for virtualization
  • SOAP AXL interface knowledge
  • Basic understanding of LDAP and network technology
  • Troubleshooting experience for telephony infrastructures and connected management systems
• Certifications:
  • CCNA Collaboration
  • CCNP Collaboration
• Personal Skills:
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Customer- and results-oriented mindset
  • Openness to tackling diverse challenges

Responsibilities:

• Daily system management in the Cisco Voice environment (CUCM, CUP, Unity, Andtek, etc.)
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in telephony infrastructure
• Analyzing and solving cross-system errors
• Participating in ITIL-based processes (incident, change, and problem management)
• Managing and updating technical documentation, including operating manuals
• Conducting updates, patches, and version changes for central and decentralized components
• Supporting the customer’s team with workshops and training sessions for system operations and end-users
• Ensuring smooth collaboration with international teams and external partners

Additional Information:

• Freelance contract with up to 1600 hours per year, divided into quarterly assignments
• No travel required, except for a two-week onboarding session in Germany
• Applicants must specify their hourly rate (excluding VAT) in their proposal, which will be forwarded to the client
