The Opportunity

We are seeking a Product Manager based in the USA to join our Creative Department team. In this role, you will plan, build, and develop products in key categories such as Lighting, Toys, and Collectibles, driving business growth across the USA. The successful candidate will identify new opportunities while ensuring product innovation, brand consistency, and commercial viability. Reporting to our UK-based Head of Creative, this role is vital to our continued success.

Key Responsibilities

Innovation & Trends:

  • Identify trends using data and research to plan new product ranges.
  • Lead the way in innovation with cutting-edge product features and finishes.
  • Ensure products and packaging align with each range’s ethos and commercial appeal.

Idea Generation & Communication:

  • Lead creative brainstorming sessions.
  • Transform market research and customer feedback into actionable product designs.
  • Collaborate with the Design team for efficient and effective concept creation.

Market Research:

  • Conduct competitor analysis to keep us ahead of the curve.
  • Present findings to the wider team and integrate insights into new products.

Commercial Awareness & Customer Knowledge:

  • Partner with the US sales team to identify growth opportunities.
  • Conduct regular market visits and identify regional opportunities.
  • Attend customer meetings to gather ideas and transform them into actionable proposals.

New Product Development:

  • Oversee the full product development lifecycle, from specifications to approvals.
  • Collaborate with designers, suppliers, and factories to deliver high-quality products at scale.
  • Ensure packaging and artwork are developed seamlessly.

Critical Path Management:

  • Plan and manage critical paths to ensure on-time product launches.
  • Address delays and risks proactively with the team.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement improvements in global working processes to drive efficiency.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years’ experience in product development.
  • Strong experience working with major retailers like Walmart and Target.
  • Expertise in manufacturing and sourcing from China.
  • Solid technical knowledge of the toy industry and product development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with Far East manufacturing.
  • Experience with licensed products (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
