About the Role:

Grade Level (for internal use):

12

The Role:

Adding to our Insurance Solutions team, we are announcing the role of Senior Sales Representative. This position is a hunter role focused on prospecting across Personal and Commercial auto insurance companies, agencies, Insurtechs, and other auto insurance industry participants. The role will report directly to the Director of Insurance and will focus on selling a variety of S&P Mobility data products with a focus on our VIN Solutions. This person must be able to navigate complex insurance organizations and build relationships with key stakeholders in Underwriting, Product, Analytics, and more.

The Team:

The Insurance Solutions team within S&P Global Mobility focuses on delivering various data products and solutions to the automotive insurance industry. The ideal candidate would thrive in an entrepreneurial role with a proven track record of delivering sales and exceeding growth targets within this targeted client set.

The Impact:

Polk / S&P Mobility is a recognized leader in Automotive, Automotive Retail, and Automotive Insurance. We have the broadest and highest quality data to offer to the insurance industry. This role is critical to help us expand our current footprint across the industry. You will map these organizations, identify the key figures who can approve product integrations, build support across multiple functions, and ultimately help broaden our market penetration across Personal Lines and Commercial Lines insurance.

What’s in it for you:

  • Entrepreneurial opportunity within a large company structure. You will be responsible for being a key face of S&P Mobility in the industry and bringing new logos online
  • Join a successful team with industry-leading products and brand recognition.
  • Innovate at the intersection of technology, data, insurance, and the automotive industry
  • Being a key stakeholder in helping S&P Mobility build and improve its products to support insurance carriers

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver revenue against an overlay quota for revenue across the S&P Mobility portfolio of products with a focus on VIN Solutions
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders at your prospects, ideally in the VP up, across a range of functions, including Sales, Product, Analytics, Underwriting, Actuarial, Marketing, and IT/Technology
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure your success. That includes Customer Success, Product, Marketing, and Sales

What We’re Looking For:

  • A proven sales ‘hunter’ or business development closer with a track record of building and closing new relationships and opportunities
  • 7+ years in auto insurance agency, ad tech, or data sales. Experience working at a top 20 auto carrier or national agency a plus
  • Strong communication skills. Particularly the ability to distill complex topics down to a simple and compelling message
  • Understanding of the auto insurance industry, the products, the players, and how it all comes together
  • A strong collaborator and team player who can work across functional teams, and bring together constituents from S&P Global teams and client organizations.
