Bridgestone Golf, Inc. is headquartered in Covington, Georgia and is the U.S. subsidiary of Bridgestone Corporation headquartered in Japan. Our mission is simple: Bridgestone Golf serves dedicated golfers with superior quality golf equipment designed to maximize individual player’s golf experience and enjoyment.
The Territory Sales Manager will achieve monthly and annual sales goals by actively selling, marketing and merchandising all Bridgestone and Precept Brand golf balls, clubs, bags, promotions, programs, and accessories. In addition, TSM is responsible for meeting distribution goals and account level program execution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Manages territory by calling on current and prospective customers to sell company products, solidify relationships, arrange promotion programs, resolve customer problems, plan account growth strategies, and execute merchandising standards and the Bridgestone Golf Steps to a Sales Call.
- Minimum of 50% overnight travel (where necessary as determined by Regional Sales Director).
- Expends a minimum of 10% of total work hours prospecting for and closing new account business.
- Prepares and follows a zone territory coverage plan based on account potential and territory logistics.
- Writes and updates a formal account plan for "A" and top "B" accounts as designated by the respective RSD and according to company sales policy and procedures.
- Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales orders.
- Keeps records of all sales call achievements, opportunities, and results.
- Assists Customer Service Dept. and Credit Dept. in resolving customer complaints and collecting past due accounts.
- Moves products between accounts as necessary and manages car stock inventory with credit department approval.
- Complies to company expense report policy and submits expense reports to the corporate office on time and within budget.
- Submits weekly call activity report to respective RSD and corporate office.
- Attends and actively participates in regional and national sales meetings and trade shows.
- Conducts periodic account survey visits to key National and Regional Accounts within territory (i.e. Golf Galaxy, Walmart, Dick’s, Target, PGA Super Store, etc). Provides information concerning on-hand inventory stocking, adherence to planners and schematics, and authorized product distribution. May occasionally be asked to conduct product seminars to store staff, assist in merchandising, and fulfill other duties as designated by BSG management.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be efficient with time management, relationship building and creative merchandising. Must possess computer proficiency through use of Microsoft Office applications to include Excel and Word, communicate effectively through use of e-mail, and demonstrate knowledge in the use of Salesforce, Power Point and Access. Must be able to use POS Programs to process orders to company.
DESIRED JOB EXPERIENCE
Three to four years of proven successful field sales experience within golf or CPG industry.
VEHICLE
Must have a dependable vehicle with sufficient room to carry product car stock and necessary samples to be used in sales presentations and product demonstrations. Must have a valid driver’s license, carry insurance on the vehicle, and maintain a safe driving record.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Candidate must be able to demonstrate a creditworthy financial profile. TSMs will be responsible for maintaining current records of sample budget and car stock inventory.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a fully accredited four-year college or university preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret sales catalogs, credit applications, sales orders, and technical information about company products. Ability to make effective and persuasive sales presentations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret, and apply a variety of sales programs and promotions, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
