POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled Front-end Developer to join our team, responsible for building and maintaining World Relief's website. This role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the user experience through effective user interfaces. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other programming languages, experience with web development tools, and an understanding of SEO principles and web design aesthetics. Additionally, familiarity with tools like Figma, Adobe Suite, and content management systems is essential.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:Collaboration-focused: Working with internal team members and external stakeholders/clients to develop the overall look and design of World Relief’s webpage Collaborating closely with backend developer and UX designer to create and update user interface that enhance the user experience Updating product based on user behavior and feedback from team and stakeholdersDevelopment-focused: Producing, maintaining, and modifying website and user interfaces to build solutions that bridge our organization and usersWriting website code with programming languages such as HTML, C++, and Java Incorporating content, graphics, audio, and video clips into our website Ensuring published digital products are accessible and user-friendly across different platforms, including laptops and smartphones Optimize website for a balanced approach of quality and speed Troubleshoot and fix any website issues or bugs that arise Stay informed on our tech-stack updates and emerging technologiesJOB REQUIREMENTS:Mature and personal Christian faithCommitted to the mission, vision, and values of World ReliefDesire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communitiesAble to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation documentTechnical Proficiency: Proficiency in using HubSpot email marketing platform. Education and Experience: 2 years of experience in mass email marketing, preferably in a nonprofit or donation-based organization.
