Senior Data Operations Engineer

Position Description: We are seeking a Senior Data Operations Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server databases, as well as in cloud data platforms such as Snowflake. The candidate should have a proven track record in SQL optimization, performance tuning, and high-availability architecture. A strong collaborator and team player, you will support our scalable, reliable database infrastructure.

What You'll Do: 

1. Architect, deploy, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure for SaaS solutions
2. Develop and maintain deployment, monitoring, and other automation scripts in PowerShell and Shell
3. Manage database operations, optimization, and security for a highly available environment
4. Implement and enforce best practices in networking and network security
5. Collaborate closely with development, QA, and IT teams to support agile workflows
6. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, security, and deployment issues promptly
7. Contribute to continuous improvement in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and incident response

What You'll Bring: 

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or demonstrated equivalent experience.

1. 5+ years of experience in database development and administration, specifically with PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server and Snowflake
2. Expertise in SQL, including performance tuning, and optimization
3. Experience designing data architecture for both highly scalable OLTP/operational as well as OLAP/analytical workloads
4. Strong background in database security and compliance standards
5. Team player with excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Additional preferred qualifications:

1. Experience with hyperscale architectures such as Citus, Azure SQL Hyperscale, or Snowflake
