About the role - you will:

We are looking for a passionate, dynamic and customer focused Cloud Architect to join our Lyve organization. The candidate should have a strong technical background in distributed systems design, cloud engineering approaches, should be a hands on leader with exceptional organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills. The right candidate should have a demonstrable track record of successfully developing cloud architecture frameworks, designing, and delivering modern cloud data platform solutions, cloud migrations, cloud-native solutions and helped drive Cloud Practice growth. 
 
We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated excellence in development architectures for S3 cloud platforms, building, and leading a team of technical cloud architects and engineers and delivering transformational business outcomes in production with proven examples. 
•    Define overall architecture of the Lyve Cloud. 
•    Stay abreast of cloud technology trends, advancements, and best practices. 
•    Foster engineering culture. Build and maintain architecture artifacts, design processes and best practices, provide technical oversight to architects and engineers.
•    Prototype solutions and develop proof-of-concept. 
•    Promote cross-functional collaboration and engineering excellence.

 

About you:

•    Experienced with agile development process and methodologies.
•    Strong knowledge of cloud service engineering stack, cloud technology trends, cloud development tools, cloud migration and management. 
•    Deep understanding of distributed architectures, containers and serverless technologies
•    Hands on with CI/CD, Sre, cloud tooling, DevOps, Networking and testing approaches
•    Proven hands on experience with large scale distributed technologies such as Kubernetes, Kafka, MySQL, Mongo, Cassandra, K8S, Chef, Splunk, Elastic, and Hadoop. 
•    Hands on coding experience in the following languages: GoLang, Java, C/C++, Python, etc.  
•    Exceptional collaboration and partnership skills with the ability to work in a global environment and drive consensus in cross-functional teams.  
•    Outstanding communications ability to a diverse customer audience, executives, product, and technology stakeholders 
•    Strong relationship management skills . 
•    Fast learner on both technical and business side 
•    Strong customer centric mindset. 
•    Comfortable operating in a matrix setup 
•    Proactive, demonstrate sense of urgency and 'can do' attitude.
•    Detail and results oriented, able to analyze data to justify decisions and apply key learnings. 
•    Ability to stay organized while managing competing priorities. 
•    Excellent verbal and written communications and presentations skills
•    Use technical expertise and visionary capabilities to ensure the Lyve cloud platform services are a key differentiator for Seagate, you will drive the engineering vision and strategy for how the platform is designed and delivered  
•    Understand the business domain and product vision; in partnership with other team members to align the work of the team toward the shared goals for the product.  
•    Support team members in addressing or escalating issues to make the overall team more efficient. 
•    Coach and evaluate the performance and quality of work delivered by team members, create a motivating and respectful work environment for teams, and ensure that your team is constantly learning and delivering quality code while driving cross-functional alignment with other parts of Lyve organization. 
•    Provide relevant technical coaching and support to team members. Hires talent and actively engages in recruiting processes. 
•    Participate in the development of business and/or technology vision, strategies, critical success factors, and operating plans for application, unit, or platform. 
•    Strong track record of delivering results and are able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities with various stakeholders 
•    Experience leading Architecture/Principal level engineers
•    Experience leading cloud utilization optimization efforts 
•    Experience leading cloud security architects and compliance efforts
•    Lead by example to establish a culture of technical expertise and operational accountability
•    Sponsor and support cloud governance initiatives, establishing standards, cost monitoring, and security/compliance efforts 
•    Identify and prioritize technical initiatives to align and integrate with business goals 

 

Your experience includes:

•    Bachelor's, Master’s or PhD degree in computer science preferred, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 
•    Career experience building enterprise storage services and building cloud platforms.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $216,000 - $320,000. The individual salary is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
