Position: Full Stack Engineer (Java, Kubernetes, React.js)
Location: onsite Milpitas, California (Hybrid)/remote in the US
Job Description:
SS8 is seeking a dynamic Full Stack Engineer with 3-5 years of experience in developing, deploying, and managing modern web applications and backend systems. This role requires proficiency in Java, Kubernetes, React.js, and experience with technologies like Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Kafka, and AI integrations. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in front-end and back-end development, along with a passion for building scalable and innovative applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Full Stack Development:
Design, develop, and maintain front-end interfaces using React.js.
Implement robust back-end solutions with Java and related frameworks.
Microservices and Cloud-Native Applications:
Develop and deploy microservices on Kubernetes clusters.
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless application delivery.
Database and Messaging Systems:
Design and manage data models with Cassandra and Elasticsearch for high-availability systems.
Implement and integrate messaging systems using Kafka for real-time communication.
AI Frameworks Integration:
Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate AI/ML capabilities into applications.
Work on data preprocessing and APIs for machine learning models.
Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting:
Debug and optimize application performance at both the client and server levels.
Ensure system reliability through robust monitoring and logging solutions.
Team Collaboration:
Work with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UI/UX designers, and DevOps engineers.
Contribute to agile development processes, including sprint planning and code reviews.
Front-End:
Proficiency in React.js and related libraries (e.g., Redux, React Router).
Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+).
Back-End:
Expertise in Java and frameworks like Spring Boot or Micronaut.
Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
Database:
Experience with NoSQL databases like Cassandra.
Knowledge of search engines like Elasticsearch.
Cloud and Orchestration:
Experience deploying applications on Kubernetes clusters.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Messaging and Streaming:
Knowledge of Kafka for messaging and event-driven architecture.
AI and Analytics:
Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and tools.
Experience working with AI-driven APIs or frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Preferred Qualifications:
Annual Base Pay Range (USD): $70,000 - $100,000
The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected annual pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
