Job description

Overview:

Our professional services team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead to support the development, implementation, and technical management of a future FBI program.  The Technical Lead will play a pivotal role in technical design, engineering and delivering a Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) compliant secure end-user device (EUD) solution, ensuring compliance with NSA and FBI security standards while driving innovative approaches to meet mission-critical objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the technical design, engineering, and deployment of CSfC-compliant solutions, including SecureView EUDs, pre-production environments, and datacenter integration.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of solutions at the designated FBI sites, including Clarksburg, WV, and Washington, DC, with optional support for Pocatello, ID.
  • Design, deploy, and manage secure and scalable IT infrastructure solutions, including networking, storage, and compute environments, to support the customer’s program.
  • Ensure infrastructure is optimized for high availability, disaster recovery, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of the solution into existing enterprise infrastructure, including Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).
  • Ensure compliance with NSA policies, NCDSMO accreditation, and CSfC Capability Package requirements, including Data-at-Rest (DAR) and Multi-Domain solutions.
  • Guide Agile development practices, including SAFe methodologies, to ensure efficient delivery and adherence to defined timelines.
  • Develop technical documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), configuration guides, and system design diagrams.
  • Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting, patching, and maintaining CSfC infrastructure, including over-the-air (OTA) updates and remote device management.
  • Support the preparation and submission of NSA and CSfC documentation, including registration forms, validation letters, and ATO artifacts.
  • Collaborate with program management and stakeholders to ensure deliverables meet operational, security, and compliance requirements.

OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS:

  • This position anticipates a mix of on-site and remote work with regular hours, Monday-Friday.

 

WORK LOCATION AND TRAVEL:

  • This position may be seated at one of the primary customer locations; Washington, DC; Clarksburg, WV; or Ashburn, VA; based on candidate location.
Qualifications:

CLEARANCE:

  • Active Top Secret (TS) is required upon application for initial consideration, with the ability and willingness to be upgraded to a TS/SCI.   This position is not open for any additional clearance upgrades, to include reactivation, or sponsorship.
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, preferred.
CERTIFICATION(S):
  • CISSP, CCSP or relevant NSA certifications, preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Eight or more (8+) years of experience in designing and implementing secure IT solutions, IT infrastructure systems engineering, including hands-on experience with designing and managing enterprise-scale systems with at least two (2) years supporting CSfC or similar classified programs.
  • Expertise in implementing and managing backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Expertise in CSfC Capability Packages, NSA policies, and SecureView technologies.
  • Experience with datacenter integration, remote access solutions, and classified environments.
  • Proficiency in Agile frameworks, including SAFe, and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant technologies such as VMware Horizon, Splunk, and enterprise PKI solutions.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide innovative solutions.

 

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or relevant NSA certifications.
  • Experience supporting FBI or other federal government classified programs.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture and TEMPEST-compliant solutions.
