As a growing organization, we are seeking a hands-on, tech-savvy, and motivated Information Security Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will help us strengthen our security posture, tackle complex information security challenges, and support scalable growth with minimal security and data issues.

About the role

As an Information Security Engineer, you will be instrumental in enhancing and automating our daily operations using advanced tools like data analytics platforms, continuous integration services, and cutting-edge technologies like AI. This interdisciplinary position involves close collaboration with our Product Development, DevOps, and Compliance teams, providing you with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the organization.

Your responsibilities:

  • Security Tooling: Develop and enhance tools for continuous security monitoring, testing, and operational improvements.
  • Incident Management: Lead computer emergency and security response efforts, including incident or reported vulnerability analysis, resolution, and communication across teams.
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM): Oversee and enhance information privacy by implementing robust IAM policies and practices.
  • Regulatory & Compliance: Support InfoSec compliance initiatives by aligning with frameworks such as AICPA’s SOC2, EU’s GDPR, or other relevant standards.
  • Third-Party Audits: Collaborate with external security assessment vendors and auditors to conduct periodic security reviews and implement their recommendations.
  • Access Auditing & Automation: Perform and automate internal employee and service account audits to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the DevOps and Product Development teams to integrate security practices into CI/CD pipelines and software development lifecycles.
  • Awareness & Training: Assist in designing and delivering security training programs to build a security-first mindset across the company.

You will thrive in this position if you have: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in SaaS or technology-focused organizations.
  • Technical Expertise:
    1. Programming experience, preferably in JavaScript or TypeScript.
    2. Understanding of web technologies such as HTTP, TLS, DOM, and REST APIs.
    3. Familiarity with public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
    4. Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) procedures, including software testing, building, and containerization tools like Docker.
    5. Understanding of the CVE release process and principal internet organization (orgs like ICANN, IANA, domain registrars, DNS hosting, PKI and CAs).
  • Soft Skills:
    1. Be eager to get your hands dirty.
    2. Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively, both independently and as part of a team.
    3. Effective communication skills to articulate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    4. Strong written and spoken English.
