Position SCOPE & Key Responsibilities

The SRE & Support Manager will be responsible for maintaining the reliability, performance, and availability of our API environment and infrastructure.

  • Work closely with the development team, DevOps, Architects and Security
  • Design and implement scalable and robust environment.
  • Focus on stability and support services.
  • Drive the solving of the operational issues.
  • Transform the actual team based on SRE concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT support specialists, including hiring, training, and performance management.
    • Define clear objectives and provide guidance for the transformation in a SRE team.
    • Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Reliability Engineer:
    • Drive the design, implementation, and maintenance of the scalable and reliable API environments.
    • Define, monitor, and uphold Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Support and Incident Management:
    • Oversee day-to-day operations within the team, focusing on incident response, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication.
    • Conduct post-incident reviews to identify the root causes and implement preventive measures.
    • Continuously improvement of documentation and study cases for the Support Team.
    • Overall Process improvement
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Enhance monitoring and alerting to proactively identify and address issues.
    • Focus on the logging enhancement proposals for the development team for providing the needed visibility of the system usage.
    • Optimize environment performance, reliability, and capacity planning.
    • Analyze system performance and recommend changes to improve reliability and efficiency.
    • Work closely with the Development, Security and Infrastructure teams to implement the best reliability practices in the CI/CD cycle.

  • Required skills & profile

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree/Engineering school in computer science or information technology
  • 4+ years of experience on a similar role

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong technical background and be familiar with the technology stack
  • Experience in developing and implementing operations processes and procedures
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to able to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and be able to implement SRE practices as the program evolves towards a "you build it, you run it" approach.
  • Strong skills in documentation and capability to articulate issues and tasks for non-IT staff
  • Strong in communication and organization, be able to prioritize task and re-prioritize constantly
  • Fluent spoken and written English
