By Light Technologies Limited has been established in the UK to coalesce all the capabilities from By Light LLC (and subsidiaries Cole Engineering Services and Veraxx). We are seeking an experienced Business Development person to shape and build the UK sales opportunities with a vision to growing into Europe, the Middle East and eventually globally outside of USA.

As well as having the drive to grow our presence in the region, the individual will need to have a strong business development and sales background. We are looking for individuals with the drive and experience to grow the business in the region.

Position Overview:

In this role, you will report directly to the Managing Director of By Light Technologies Limited and play a pivotal part in the company’s Business Development team. You will work closely with the By Light Business Development and Marketing teams in the USA, taking the lead on sales and business development initiatives assigned to you. This includes overseeing market competitiveness, pricing, distribution channels, strategy, and forging strategic partnerships. Your key responsibility will be driving business growth by executing sales strategies aligned with corporate objectives, while also developing and expanding new customer bases.

You will be accountable for managing the business development and sales process, tracking outcomes, measuring successes and identifying areas for improvement. You will adapt strategies as necessary and contribute to overall business direction. A critical aspect of your role will be developing leads and managing the full business development lifecycle, from inception through to sales. The ability to be a self-starter and foster strategic corporate alliances will be essential to your success in this role.

You will be a high-performing leader with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute national and international sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure proposed solutions enhance PWin, are innovative, and achievable.
  • Lead military and commercial sales strategy development.
  • Work with By Light leadership to establish and implement channel distribution strategies and transition to execution.
  • Cultivate and maintain key customer relationships.
  • Drive strategies for expanding the customer base.
  • Deliver comprehensive presentations on By Light’s products and services.
  • Assist in creating and executing corporate marketing strategies for assigned markets.
  • Engage in capture activities, including industry briefings, program monitoring, and direct interaction with program offices.
  • Support company participation in trade shows, industry events, workshops, and webinars.
  • Develop marketing collateral, white papers, and innovative communications.
  • Assist Business Development with ROMs, bid quotes, and proposal submissions in coordination with By Light departments.
  • Ensure consistent and effective use of Salesforce for corporate awareness and execution.
  • Manage special projects and other assigned duties.
  • Strengthen and form alliances to expand customer base and enhance global solution delivery.
  • Develop and execute regional marketing campaigns for By Light Technologies.
Required Experience/Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with UK Government acquisitions.
  • Expertise in military training and systems, with a particular focus on the Land domain.
  • A minimum of five years of marketing or sales experience in a comparable industry or military service.
  • Proven experience in planning and managing both strategic and operational business development initiatives.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with colleagues and staff to foster a results-driven, team-oriented environment.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and/or lead capture systems.
  • Extensive experience working with business and industry, with a focus on Defence.
  • Advanced strategic planning and analytical skills in sales, marketing, and competitive business strategies.
  • Exceptional public speaking skills, with strong presence and confidence.
  • Clear and effective written communication skills, including technical proposal and white paper development.
  • Ten years of military experience.
  • Comprehensive background in Modelling and Simulation (M&S) across various domains.
  • Demonstrated track record in developing and executing marketing and sales strategies.
Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
  • Active Security Clearance at SC or ability to obtain
