Pay: £48,400 GBP Annual Gross (Dependent on experience)
Duration:10 months (with possible extension)
Location: UK-Med Office, Manchester, UK (Hybrid Working) or remote working options within +/-2 hours of UK Time
Are you a professional with expertise in humanitarian response? Are you passionate about innovative humanitarian healthcare solutions and ready to use your technical expertise and leadership to ensure the success of a critical telehealth and remote capacity building project within a complex emergency setting?
UK-Med is an NGO providing emergency health support in times of crisis and humanitarian emergencies. We provide direct healthcare, clinical support, training and capacity building for health professionals around the world, with particular focus on countries vulnerable to natural disasters, outbreaks or with weakened health systems due to complex emergencies.
As the implementing partner of the UK Emergency Medical Team (UK EMT), we work closely with FCDO and WHO as well as developing our own programmes. Our work has never been more vital, with disease outbreaks and disasters becoming more frequent, complex and severe. Our expanding portfolio of emergency health programs includes projects in Gaza, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Malawi, Myanmar, and Lebanon, addressing areas such as outbreak response, health worker capacity building, trauma and surgical care, and health systems strengthening.
We are looking for a Health Advisor -Telehealth to join our team, focusing on an exciting new remote Telehealth and Capacity Building project in Sudan.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape project strategy at the HQ level, design, implement and quality assure impactful health response and capacity-building programs, and contribute to securing funding through grant proposals. You will work closely with Sudanese and international clinicians and programme staff, strategic partners, Ministries of Health, WHO, and other key stakeholders. Although this is predominantly a remote role, you may have the opportunity to deploy directly as part of the project, dependent on access and security constraints.
