Job Title: Controller

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (EST)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented remote Controller to join our growing team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, and analysis. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting:

  • Maintain accurate and timely financial records, including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Oversee the month-end closing process and ensure timely completion.
  • Support and assist with the annual audit process.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations.


Financial Analysis & Reporting:

  • Prepare and analyze key financial metrics to track company performance.
  • Develop and maintain financial forecasts and budgets.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis and reporting to management.


Financial Operations:

  • Manage the company's cash flow and ensure timely payments to vendors.
  • Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of internal controls.


Other Duties as Required:

  • Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analyses as needed.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the company's business operations and strategic goals.


Essential Skills:

  • Strong Proficiency in Excel: Essential for data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling.
  • Experience with Accounting Software: Familiarity with QuickBooks is preferred, but other accounting software experience is acceptable.
