This is a remote position.

Full-time (40 hours a week)
Mon - Fri 8 AM- 5 PM (CST)(10 PM to 7 AM PHT) includes 1h unpaid break

Job Description

As a Level 2 Network Technician, you’ll be at the heart of our advanced IT operations, tackling complex network challenges and implementing cutting-edge solutions. This role offers an exhilarating opportunity to work with a variety of state-of-the-art technologies and firewall systems. You’ll be the go-to expert for intricate network issues, designing and implementing robust network architectures that keep our clients’ businesses running smoothly. Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced level 2 support for complex network-related issues
  • Design, configure, and troubleshoot sophisticated network infrastructures
  • Manage and optimize switches, LAN configurations, and firewalls
  • Create and maintain secure VPN tunnels for client connectivity
  • Work with cutting-edge firewall systems (SonicWall, Cisco, Meraki, Ubiquiti)
  • Lead collaboration efforts with level 1 support on escalated network issues
  • Implement and enhance network security measures to protect client data
  • Conduct advanced network diagnostics and performance optimization
  • Develop and maintain network-related policies and best practices
  • Mentor junior team members on advanced networking concepts
  • Stay current with emerging network technologies and industry trends

Requirements
  • Proven experience in advanced networking roles
  • Deep understanding of networking protocols and infrastructure design
  • Hands-on experience with multiple firewall systems (SonicWall, Cisco, Meraki, Ubiquiti)
  • Expertise in creating and managing VPN tunnels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex network issues
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work US business hours (8 AM to 5 PM Central Time)
  • Willingness to provide on-call support for critical network issues outside business hours
  • Relevant networking certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are a plus
  • Ability to explain complex network concepts in simple terms to clients and team members
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential network issues
