Medical Advisor Dermatology Switzerland

The Role

Under the leadership of the Associate Medical Director Switzerland, you are responsible for the operationalization of non-promotional activities around Incyte’s products and pipeline in Switzerland. You will be the key field-based scientific expert for Inflammation & Auto-Immunity (IAI) - with a strong focus on Dermatology - to both external and internal stakeholders.

External

  • Develop and lead ‘Key External Expert’ (KEE) engagement and communication plans.
  • Provide scientific and educational presentations to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs).
  • Organize advisory boards, medical symposia, speaker events; write articles on Incyte’s clinical data.
  • Support the implementation and execution of Art. 71 KVV.
  • Maintain a close relationship with external stakeholders (KEEs, investigators, HCPs, PAGs, CROs).
  • Act as point of contact for unsolicited medical requests on the IAI portfolio.
  • Attendance at national and international conferences.

Internal

  • Support the Medical Director to develop and implement Medical Plans.
  • Represent Switzerland in local (CH/AT) and regional (Europe) IAI brand teams.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with the R&D, Regulatory, Market Access, Marketing and Sales team.
  • Maintain an in-depth level of knowledge about the products and therapeutic areas.
  • Provide regular product and disease-specific training to internal colleagues.
  • Develop materials for internal and external presentations.
  • Share best practices with fellow Medical Advisors (CH/Europe).
  • Contribute positively to a strong culture of business integrity and ethics.

Who You Are

  • You are passionate about doing everything possible for patients in need. You are open-minded, eager to learn and have a can-do attitude.
  • A university degree in life sciences (MD, PharmD or PhD) is a strong plus.
  • 3-5 years of Medical Affairs (MSL, Medical Advisor, or similar) experience is a strong plus.
  • Previous experience in IAI and/or an existing stakeholder network are a plus.
  • In-depth understanding of clinical trial data interpretation as well as excellent presentation skills are mandatory.
  • Excellent written & spoken English and German are required. French is an asset.
  • Pragmatic working style. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently with other functions. Ability to move projects forward, within budget and timelines.
  • The position is home-office based and covers entire Switzerland. Willingness to travel (national/international) part-time (around 50%).
