About the Role:
As a vital member of our healthcare team, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. You'll provide excellent customer service to patients, assist medical professionals, and handle a variety of administrative tasks. Your duties will contribute directly to creating a positive patient experience and supporting the efficient delivery of care.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally, scheduling appointments and managing the reception area.
  • Verify patient insurance information and process paperwork efficiently.
  • Update and maintain patient medical records electronically or on paper (ensuring HIPAA compliance).
  • Prepare examination rooms for patient visits.
  • Assist healthcare professionals with administrative tasks and patient care duties (as allowed by qualifications and regulations).
  • Take accurate patient vitals (if trained and certified).
  • Collect payments and manage billing processes (as applicable).
  • Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and schedule appointments.
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service or administrative role (experience in a medical office setting preferred).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations (a plus).
  • CPR/First Aid certification (a plus).
