We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build and optimize data pipelines supporting performance dashboards while collaborating effectively with developers to ensure seamless deployments.

Location: Remote - Colombia

What you will be doing:

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines in AWS Airflow, supporting a suite of performance management dashboards. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Python, SQL, and AWS services, coupled with experience in agile workflows using JIRA and version control tools like Git (Bitbucket). This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can collaborate effectively with other developers and contribute to the team's success through seamless code deployments and data pipeline optimization. Your responsibilities include:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS Airflow to support performance management dashboards.
Write efficient, maintainable, and scalable code in Python and SQL to process and transform data.
Collaborate with other developers to manage code deployments using Git (Bitbucket), ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Track and document work progress in JIRA, adhering to agile methodologies.
Monitor data pipelines for reliability and performance, implementing improvements as needed.
Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance within all processes.
Work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.

Requirements & Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

Proven experience in data engineering with a focus on building and maintaining data pipelines.
Expertise in Python and SQL for data processing and transformation.
Proficiency with AWS Airflow and familiarity with other AWS services.
Strong understanding of version control systems, particularly Git (Bitbucket).
Experience working in JIRA to manage tasks and track progress in an agile environment.
Experience with performance management or analytics dashboards.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
