Position Summary
Thales is hiring an experience
Sales Engineer in our Identity Access & Management (IAM) product line who will be is primarily responsible for communicating the technical value of Thales security solutions.
In this role, you will present to existing and potential Enterprise Customers (including development staff, CXO’s, analysts and partners) information concerning the technical and business benefits of Thales
PKI/FIDO devices authentication solutions.
This position will require successfully completing a post-offer background check. Key Areas of Responsibility
- Work together with the Business Development and Technical Support teams to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
- Identify customer technical requirements, provide clear estimation of feasibility and risks and support contract negotiations with technical background.
- Prepare workflows, answers to Requests for Proposals, Request for Information and project proposals.
- Prepare initial solution presentations and demonstrations for all Thales products.
- Study customer operation to understand their business direction and application requirements in order to help them define their technical needs and recommend solutions that meet those needs utilizing company products.
- Provide high-level technical support, consultation and training on company’s products and capabilities to Partners, End-Users and other departments as part of the sales cycle.
- Work closely with Product Management to identify, evaluate, and make technical recommendations regarding strategic product enhancements based on market initiatives, new technology, partnerships or customer requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering); or another relevant field of study; and / or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years pre-sales or post sales/support professional services experience within an enterprise software or security company, reseller, integrator, or equivalent.
- Enterprise software installation experience.
- Strong background in 3-5 of the following areas:
- Multi Factor Authentication & Public Key Infrastructure
- Security (encryption, access control, PKI, digital certificates etc.),
- Physical and logical access systems
- Issuance of PKI devices and certificates management systems (CMSs). Devices life cycle management
- Enterprise Databases (Oracle, SQL server, Informix, DB2 etc.)
- Cloud Security and Cloud Application Modernization (DevOps, Automation, Kubernetes)
- Identity and Access Management (SAML 2.0, Radius, WS-Federation, OAuth, and OpenID Connect, Single Sign On, and Context Based Authentication).
- Exposure to US Federal mandates and security standards: FIPS 140-2, FIPS 201- PIV and CAC cards.
