Job description

Job Description:

On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a 100% remote Data Engineer in Latin America for a six month contract.

Job Description:

Collaborate with the Digital and Analytics team to optimize data systems and pipeline architecture.
Develop business analytics solutions using standard development practices.
Design, build, document, and maintain analytic models, reports, dashboards, and ETL/ELT pipelines.

Technical Experience:

3–5 years of experience in data warehouse development and analytical product delivery within analytics teams.
Proven ability to create processes for data transformation, structuring, metadata management, and workload orchestration.
Strong data modeling expertise (relational, dimensional, and flattened models).
Advanced skills in Python and PySpark; strong proficiency in SQL.
Knowledge of pytest and regression testing for Spark applications.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting and supporting data platforms and business intelligence solutions.
Expertise in root cause analysis for data and processes to answer business questions and identify areas for improvement.

Tools & Platforms

Proficiency in integrating data from diverse sources (e.g., APIs, databases, and files).
Experience with platforms such as Azure and Power BI (preferred).
Familiarity with tools like DataBricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake, and DevOps Repos/Pipelines (preferred).
Experience building and optimizing big data pipelines, architectures, and datasets for machine learning and analytics.

Soft Skills

Strong interpersonal and project management abilities, with a track record of working effectively in cross-functional global teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
