Job description

Purpose of the job

The Operations Business Partner is critical to the success of HH Global’s business and industry sector structure. This role leads the evaluation and implementation of business guidelines, strategies and training in partnership with their manager and the leaders of each sector. This person acts as a bridge between account teams and horizontal operations teams by serving as a partner with each sector lead to achieve operational goals within their sector, with a particular focus to deploy operational training within the APAC region.

The Operations Business Partner also works closely with the Operational Training team, as well as client engagement and function leaders across the company, including Finance, BA, HR, Sourcing, and Legal, to ensure smooth and profitable execution of account activities. This position is a resource for account teams to ensure account profitability and goals achievement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define strategic operational objectives in collaboration with the wider Operational Excellence team
  • Execute strategic initiatives within the sector and region to achieve the highest level of impact to the greatest number of people in collaboration with the client engagement team
  • Prepare effective training programs, organize seminars, workshops, individual training sessions with internal SMEs or external training providers; aligned to the business needs and training curriculum
  • Engage with our Client Engagement community to deploy first class training as required in a consistent manner, regardless of geography, according to the curriculum
  • Working with the Learning Content Creation teams to ensure the training material is tailored to the audience, culture, and language
  • Evaluate/conduct research to determine where operational skills are lacking in teams
  • Deploy training content, surveys, and collate feedback at the end of each session as required
  • Drive collaboration and best practice sharing across all sectors
  • Support Account Management with issue resolution and coordinate with account teams, clients, and cross-functional teams as required
  • Understand and ensure compliance with contractual metrics and terms across sectors by partnering with the Business Analyst team
  • Review operational practices to determine and recommend the optimal state

Knowledge, Skills + Experience

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, approachable, articulate, and able to develop positive relationships at all levels, with all types of people and in all countries
  • Substantial experience managing client account teams within client environments
  • Excellent experience of P&L management
  • Proven management experience, specifically in employee development and mentoring
  • Expertise in management, contract compliance, performance improvement, and collaboration within all levels of an organization
  • Proven project management skills
  • Independent thinker with strong organizational and planning abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office software, specifically Excel
  • Travel as required to participate in internal meetings to conduct market checks and deploy training
