Your Role

As a Release and QA Specialist (Product Release & Manual Testing), you are responsible for: 2. Quality Assurance (QA) Testing 3. Collaboration and Coordination 4. Continuous Improvement Non-negotiable requirements: Soft Skills:

  • Release Communications Management
  • Lead and manage the communication strategy for product releases, ensuring that all stakeholders (internal teams, customers, etc.) are informed about upcoming changes.
  • Draft and maintain customer-facing content such as release notes, product updates, and feature announcements.
  • Create internal release communications to ensure alignment across teams, including development, product, and customer support.
  • Ensure that release content is clear, concise, and tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with product teams and customer success teams to align release messaging with company goals and customer needs.
  • Update and refine release documentation/knowledge base based on customer feedback and evolving product features.
  • Conduct manual testing on tickets assigned, including new features, bug fixes, and enhancements, to ensure they meet specifications and are free of defects.
  • Execute test cases for various release tickets to validate functionality across different environments.
  • Report and track defects, working closely with the development team to resolve any issues before the release.
  • Ensure that release tickets assigned are thoroughly tested and meet quality standards before being released to production.
  • Provide feedback to developers on potential issues or improvements based on testing results
  • Coordinate with product, development, and customer support teams to ensure smooth release execution.
  • Monitor and track the progress of release tickets, ensuring that they are on track for release and meet quality standards.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all release communications to stakeholders.
  • Participate in release planning meetings and update teams on progress, risks, and blockers.
  • Work closely with internal teams(product, development and customer success) to ensure that customer-facing content aligns with the latest product features and enhancements
  • Continuously improve release communication processes by gathering feedback from stakeholders and refining content delivery.
  • Help identify areas for improvement
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in release management, customer-facing content writing, or QA testing for software releases
  • Strong experience creating release notes, user guides, FAQs, or other customer documentation, with an ability to translate technical information into user-friendly content.
  • Hands-on experience with manual testing (test cases, defect reporting, validating new features)
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Beamer, and content management systems (CMS).
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Basic knowledge of bug tracking, test case execution, and defect reporting.
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Basic knowledge of QA processes and methodologies
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and independently
