Scopely is looking for a QA Manager to join the development team on our new Unannounced AAA Action RPG. This is a U.S. remote position.

What You Will Do

Reporting into the Executive Producer, you will manage the quality efforts of various teams that are responsible for the development, integration and release of tools and technologies. These include Creative Pipeline, Live Services, Build, and Automation efforts. As the Manager of Quality Assurance you will organize teams of analysts both internally and externally, define best practices, support both planned features and emergent live service issues while striving to ensure a high quality gameplay experience.  

With a team of QA Engineers & Analysts, both internal and external, you will help shape the future on how we continue to iterate to success, evolve the way we work and build an amazing game.

  • Build a team of expert Engineers and Analysts

  • Define, implement and maintain a solid QA framework and process

  • Coordinate and oversee testing from our external test vendor(s), prioritizing efforts and managing resource allocation

  • Working with the Senior Leadership and Central Service teams, establish and manage the direction of the test automation framework and strategy

  • Champion the evolution of QA’s methodology, tools and impact by always seeking for opportunities to improve process and efficiency.   

  • Working with your QA Engineers, establish testing tools and a pipeline to identify and create new tools or resources for your team.

  • Be able to provide an holistic quality overview of upcoming changes or additions at any given time, through relevant tracking and reporting

  • Coordinate testing needs surrounding technical investigation of issues uncovered through negative KPI trends and / or Customer Support escalations

  • Support and proactively challenge for sufficient QA time and resources within the Development Roadmap / Releases based on your teams needs

  • Coordinate with internal Certification and Release team on 3rd party compliance and performance data captures


What We’re Looking For

  • Exceptional leadership and managerial skills with proven experience

  • Strong verbal / written communication and an excellent attention to detail 

  • Strong time management, accountability and organizational skills 

  • Proactive, enthusiastic and self-motivated  

  • Flexible to an agile setup with the ability to multitask, managing coverage for multiple high profile releases with strict deadlines 

  • A strong commercial awareness with an understanding of business priorities and goals

  • Exceptional reporting capabilities 

  • Extensive knowledge of JIRA and / or similar bug tracking systems 

  • Experience supporting multiple platforms (PC, Console, Mobile) 

  • A sound understanding of the gaming industry and the typical end to end development lifecycle

  • Knowledge and experience working with Unreal is a plus

  • Familiarity with automation frameworks and how to build these

  • A passionate expert that loves making games

For candidates in CA, CO, NJ, NY and WA, the annual salary range is $87,600 - $129,000, plus equity, bonus and benefits including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time-off. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
