Job description

Who we are looking for:

We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Lead using QA automation tools like Selenium, UFT with financial services background to architect, design, and manage software projects critical to our client’s real-time transaction processing needs.   The right individual will leverage their analytical and technical skills to quickly familiarize themselves with our environment and deliver on-time sensitive projects for a leading investment manager. This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

As a Senior QA Automation lead you will be:

Responsible for overall quality of the delivery and implements necessary check and balances. via peer review, automated tests, functional tests, regression suites, end to end tests and performance tests. Create test design and implementation of most complex design components, adopting newer technology and methods to run this function efficiently Create and execute on internal Business User Acceptance Test (BUAT) strategies and detailed plans Establish and adopt the defect management process in order to track and manage issues through to resolution Work collaboratively with development teams and internal/external end user groups Ensure the delivered platform supports all business and operational processes as defined by client deliverables Support ad hoc testing needs for proof of concepts (POCs) Assume the ownership from development to production rollout using software development approaches from Waterfall to Agile, including test-driven development.  Handle release weekend support and production support.

These skills will help you succeed in this role:

Strong understanding of SDLC process and project methodologies (Waterfall/Agile). Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills. Ability to perform data analysis, derive field mappings and transformations, and design business solutions in software. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously across different teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to coordinate with team members and stakeholders in multiple locations. Aptitude for learning new things and flexibility to adapt and follow guidelines.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science Minimum 10-12 years of experience in automation testing of complex applications.
  • Minimum 3+ years of Experience of Financial Industry.
  • Proficient at testing theories, test case design, testing procedures.
  • Proficient at Java language, Spring, Spring Boot, Mybatis/Mybatis Plus technology frameworks, familiar with microservices is a plus.
  • Expert at Java automation testing tools and frameworks, such as TestNG/JUnit, Rest Assured / Httpclient, Selenium/Play Wright/Cypress or similar tools.
  • Priority is given to those who have independently built API/UI automation frameworks and have experience in developing API/UI automation with at least one scripting language(Java/Python/JavaScript).
  • Experience with SQL/RDBMS query skills is a must, querying using NoSQL(Elastic Search/Redis/MongoDB is a plus.
  • Experience with Selenium, Python, Java (Eclipse) , Test NG, BDD framework for test automation preferred.
  • Knowledge of test methodologies and their corresponding tools such as JIRA-XRAY, RTC etc.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology is a plus.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in code form is a plus.
  • Strong learning ability, good communication skills and self-management and problem-solving abilities, serious and responsible work attitude.
  • Flexible to work and overlap timing with the team based in US Pacific Zone.
