Job Description
  • Lead and manage 3 or 4 teams of multi-disciplinary engineers that are working with Java, Sprint Boot, Postgress, Kubernetes, modern front end technologies such as REACT and PHP.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in application system design, architecture, and development processes, leveraging the latest technologies and tools to improve product functionality and customer experience. 
  • Ensure adherence to engineering standards and best practices 
  • Work closely with product managers and other stakeholders to define product requirements, develop project plans, and ensure timely delivery of new features and enhancements 
  • Work not only within your area but across wider InPost Technology Group to improve the overall architecture, support the global technology initiatives such as cloud transformation, platforming work and leveraging AI. 
  • Manage the hiring, onboarding, and development of team members, ensure a diverse and inclusive workplace 
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Reviewing technical approaches, facilitating technical thought leadership with support from their team
  • Architecture team to build new products, improve existing ones and help shape development best practices
  • Hands-on support where needed, ranging from managing escalations, supporting the teams to meet release dates, and resolve incidents to addressing technical and interpersonal challenges

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in software development with strong familiarity in at least one of these technologies: Java, Sprint Boot, Postgres, Kubernetes, modern front-end technologies such as REACT and a basic knowledge of PHP
  • 2+ years of experience leading and managing high performing Agile development teams, with a deep understanding of Agile principles and methodologies. 
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage and mentor a team of engineers 
  • Proven experience in leading and managing Agile development teams, with a deep understanding of Agile principles and methodologies 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other teams and departments 
  • Professional level of English (B2 min.)
  • Well versed with people management tasks including recruitment, personnel development, giving feedback and solving
  • Well versed with people management tasks including recruitment, personnel development, giving feedback and solving interpersonal conflicts – passionate to apply these to foster personal and professional growth in the team
  • Experience with setting and delivering on goals both for yourself and your teams, KPI driven and able to prioritise to achieve outcomes
  • Experience working in a fast-moving environment, dealing with ambiguity and change
  • Technical background and experience with software design of performant and large-scale systems that meet business needs without over-engineering
  • Collaborative attitude and superb organisational skills, a problem-solving mindset and the ability to make strategic decisions – combined with the motivation to make an impact
  • Java/Java Spring Boot knowledge and/or holistic SDLC/other technology stacks (Agnostic)
  • GCP or other cloud experience is a must
