About the role

Kajabi is seeking a Senior Copywriter to join our in-house growth team. This team drives messaging and develops creative that boosts top of funnel traffic, drives product adoption, and fuels growth across all digital channels.

We’re looking for a talented writer with a deep understanding of performance marketing and a strong grasp of writing and storytelling to create impactful, digital marketing campaigns and activations for Kajabi’s portfolio of products. Reporting to our Creative Director and collaborating closely with our design and motion teams, you’ll help create and shape big-idea campaigns with strong messaging that resonate with our audiences. This role requires exceptional conceptual thinking, attention to detail, flawless execution, bold innovation, and a passion for impactful storytelling.

The ideal candidate brings significant experience creating work for well-known brands and has a strong foundation in advertising, strategy, and copywriting. What you’ll do
  • Campaign Development: Write effective, clever copy that resonates with audiences and drives action across growth and performance marketing campaigns, including paid social, SEM, email, display, and content marketing.
  • A/B Testing and Optimization: Write and refine copy variations for A/B testing, analyzing results to identify the highest-performing messages and continuously improve conversion rates.
  • Data-Driven Copywriting: Leverage data and analytics to inform copy strategy, tailoring messages based on audience insights, performance metrics, and campaign objectives.
  • Audience Segmentation: Develop targeted messaging for different audience segments, tailoring copy to maximize engagement and resonate with specific demographics or psychographics.
  • Cross-Channel Consistency: Ensure a cohesive brand voice across all marketing touchpoints, adapting tone and style as needed for different channels while maintaining brand alignment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with growth marketers, designers, editors, motion designers, and other stakeholders to execute creative strategies that drive acquisition, retention, and engagement.
  • SEO and SEM Strategy: Craft copy optimized for SEO and SEM campaigns, aligning with keyword strategy to improve search visibility and drive relevant traffic.
  • Landing Page Optimization: Write persuasive, action-oriented copy for landing pages, ensuring clear calls-to-action and user-centric messaging to improve on-page engagement and conversions.
  • Performance Analysis: Review and interpret campaign performance data to understand what’s working, using insights to refine and enhance future copy and messaging strategies.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor campaigns, other brands’ work, platform updates, and emerging best practices in growth and performance marketing to keep content competitive and relevant.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing deadlines and prioritizing tasks to meet fast-paced, performance-driven goals.
  • Brand Standards: Ensure all copy aligns with brand guidelines and maintains consistent voice and tone based on the channel.
  • Conversion-Focused Writing: Maintain a focus on writing persuasive, user-centric copy that encourages desired actions, whether it’s signing up, purchasing, or engaging with the brand.
  • Adaptability: Quickly adapt copy strategies based on real-time performance data, feedback, or changing business goals to stay agile in a dynamic environment.
What will make you great
  • A portfolio showcasing impactful, results-driven messaging, innovative thinking, and strategic campaign development across digital and performance marketing channels, with strong writing skills and attention to detail across various media.
  • 5-7 years of experience as a growth or performance-focused copywriter within an agency; in-house experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in performance-oriented tools like Google Analytics, as well as collaboration tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite) to work closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work efficiently and proactively in a remote setting, with strong communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Excellent writing skills, with a meticulous eye for detail and a willingness to experiment with copy variations for the best results.
  • Versatility in writing styles, from punchy headlines and engaging ad scripts to persuasive long-form copy optimized for conversion.
  • Solid understanding of how creativity and data intersect to achieve business objectives while meeting brand standards and aesthetics.
  • Commitment to hard work and collaboration, even under tight deadlines or on multiple assignments.
  • Clear and effective communication skills—written, verbal, and visual.
  • Optimism to think big and curiosity to explore new ideas and copy approaches in-depth.
  • Flexibility to work collaboratively one day and independently the next.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new ideas, processes, and business challenges with enthusiasm.
Bonus if you have
  • Understanding of the creator economy or with creators and entrepreneurs.
  • Experience working on tech brands, especially software.

In-Office Requirement Statement

We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection. 

  • This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration or attend company events once a quarter. 

Pay Range

$87,750—$117,000+ equity + bonus
