Today, the product includes functionality such as floor plan visualizations, desk and meeting room booking, visitor management, and utilization reports and analytics. Skedda integrates with key workplace tools like Microsoft365, Google Workspace, and Slack; and has won awards from G2, Capterra, and SoftwareAdvice.

Role overview

  • High degree of autonomy and advanced subject matter expertise in various tax domains, including  state and federal income taxes, domestic and international sales tax, and more
  • Provide strategic guidance on tax implications for business operations, while mitigating risk through proactive planning
  • Oversee annual audit process, including oversight of invoicing and deferred revenue, as well as software capitalization
  • Optimize reporting structure within Intacct (Intacct experience preferred)
  • Oversee financial operations (AP approvals, expense reports, payroll)
  • Develop and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and support compliance with regulatory requirements

Day to day responsibilities

  • Oversee sales, employer, and income tax filings, ensuring compliance across all jurisdictions
  • Monitor and approve expenses, balancing cost control with operational needs
  • Manage invoicing and collections, optimizing cash flow and strengthening customer relationships
  • Lead audit processes, ensuring readiness and compliance for external reviews

About you

  • You’re able to dive into and find solutions to complex and unique challenges
  • You’re comfortable being the subject matter expert on all tax matters
  • You have experience with Intacct best practices and show careful thought to scaling accounting infrastructure in ways that are conducive to high fidelity FP&A
  • You should be automation-focused, with a mind toward building infrastructure for scale across systems (Stripe exposure preferred)
  • You can balance a pragmatic problem solving approach with a strong attention to detail
  • You welcome feedback to improve your skills and work
  • You take initiative and work with a healthy sense of urgency
  • You're no stranger to change and working through ambiguity
  • You see great value in collaboration and teamwork
  • You partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to align financial planning with business objectives

  • Tax compliance and strategic planning within a global SaaS company
  • Strong operational accounting expertise, particularly in a startup environment
  • Familiarity with GAAP accounting standards
  • Autonomy, adaptability, flexibility, and ability to thrive in fast-paced, ever-changing environments
  • Clear communication and cross-functional collaboration to support business objectives and maintain fiscal discipline
  • Demonstrated people management experience, with an emphasis on coaching, mentoring, and fostering professional growth among high-performing teams
