Job Title: Truckload Pricing Analyst
Job Type: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm North Carolina time with an hour unpaid break

Job Summary

We are seeking a Truckload Pricing Analyst to join our pricing team. This role focuses on gathering competitive freight rates, networking with carriers, and analyzing market data to provide accurate, data-driven pricing recommendations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of market trends in the trucking industry and a knack for building relationships with carriers.

Key Responsibilities

Research and gather competitive rates from trucking companies via load boards and other industry channels.
Establish and maintain relationships with carriers by making regular calls and sending emails to discuss rates and availability.
Monitor industry trends and market data to provide insights on pricing strategies and contract decisions.
Analyze data to make informed pricing recommendations for both short-term and long-term contracts.
Update and maintain records of carrier rates and availability for reference in pricing strategies.
Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to ensure that pricing aligns with business goals and market demands.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, Economics, or related field preferred.
At least 2 years of experience in trucking/logistics.
Must have a good understanding of pricing.
Strong understanding of the U.S. trucking industry and experience using load boards.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage drivers and carriers over phone and email.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and trends.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
