Job description

The University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC) is seeking a Digital Asset and Content Coordinator to join its Marketing and Communications Team. This position will play a dual role in organizing and maintaining UAGC’s digital asset library and supporting the creation and refinement of written content. This role will ensure all assets and written materials align with UAGC’s brand guidelines and messaging standards. The coordinator will work closely with the Senior Content Manager and Social Media Manager to produce, manage, and distribute accurate and compelling digital content across various platforms.

This is a remote position reporting to the Senior Director of Brand and Content.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Content Manager to publish blog posts on the UAGC website, adhering to established procedures and schedules.
  • Assist with interviews, copywriting, and editing for blog content.
  • Help optimize existing blog content to improve engagement and SEO performance.
  • Review and proofread website content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with brand guidelines.
  • Conduct quality assurance (QA) checks to identify and correct content errors.
  • Update web pages with new copy as needed, ensuring the content is always current and relevant.
  • Contribute to the creation of social media content, including writing captions, selecting images, and creating videos, while ensuring brand consistency.
  • Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to update and maintain the editorial calendar as necessary.
  • Assist in transferring digital assets, such as images, videos, and documents, to the UAGC Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
  • Tag and categorize assets accurately to facilitate easy retrieval and organization.
  • Regularly review and update asset tags and metadata to maintain the DAM system's integrity.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Digital Asset Management (DAM) System - Understanding of DAM platforms and best practices for organizing, tagging, and managing digital files.
  • Content Creation Principles - Knowledge of effective writing techniques for digital platforms, including SEO, audience engagement, and brand alignment.
  • Brand Guidelines and Standards - Familiarity with branding principles, including visual and messaging consistency across various media.
  • Copyright and Licensing - Awareness of intellectual property laws and proper usage of licensed materials.
  • Digital Marketing Ecosystem- Basic understanding of social media platforms, content distribution channels, and analytics tools
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and digital asset management (DAM) systems. 
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with an eye for detail and consistency.
  • Basic understanding of branding and content standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in SEO best practices and content optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator) or other graphic design and video editing tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with experience in managing editorial calendars and digital asset management systems.

Rate of Pay: $53,039 - $66,299

Compensation Type: Salary at 1.0 full-time equivalence (FTE)
