We are looking for a motivated Associate Scientist to join our Procter and Gamble Professional (PGP) Packaging organization. PGP is an emerging and dynamic segment within Procter and Gamble, dedicated to serving the needs of professional consumers across various categories, including laundry, dish, and surface care. Our packaging team blends expertise from both Product Supply and R&D, offering a unique opportunity to engage with a diverse array of forms and packaging platforms. This environment fosters learning and allows you to make a significant impact across multiple technologies. The PGP Packaging organization operates with agility, adapting swiftly to business needs. This role will involve collaboration with both P&G manufacturing facilities and contract manufacturers, with a particular focus on our European market. As a key player in a smaller category, your contributions will be highly valued.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO P&G’S SUCCESS:

  • Lead projects focused on enhancing supply assurance, packaging reliability, compliance, quality improvements, sustainability, and profit optimization.
  • Ensure that PGP contract manufacturing sites consistently produce and deliver high-quality products.
  • Carefully assess the implications of technical changes or enhancements on product quality, shelf presence, user experience, claims, legal standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with production teams to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements in packaging materials.

The MPD Packaging team is committed to optimizing packaging materials and processes, ensuring that our final products consistently meet quality and cost objectives.

Job Qualifications

YOU ARE THE RIGHT FIT IF YOU ARE/HAVE:

  • A Master’s degree in a related field, preferably in mechanical, material science or similar discipline.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide teams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling you to work effectively with commercial and multifunctional teams.
  • Technical proficiency with a solid foundation in relevant technical skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Agility in managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively, and adapting to changing project or business demands.
