Position Overview:
This role is accountable for shaping insights-driven strategies and for driving the execution of programs and initiatives needed to maximize access for diabetes innovative solutions currently in early development at pricing levels reflecting the health ecosystem value of these innovations in global markets. In addition, the incumbent will provide strategic access-related input in recurring portfolio management and strategic planning activities and processes that drive results.
Responsibilities:
· Direct and drive the gathering and synthesis of actionable insights on payer value drivers and access barriers across global markets. Initiatives will impact the payer/ecosystem value potential of New/Data solutions for insulin-requiring people living with diabetes (PLWD).
· Translate insights into strategic recommendations to maximize the payer/healthcare system and Insulet value potential of these solutions across these markets from early onwards in their life cycle. These recommendations will guide target asset profile, differentiation potential, evidence generation strategy, positioning, and pricing.
· Drive the translation of recommendations into actionable strategies and plans in collaboration with the Franchise teams and other stakeholders
· Contribute to Business Development projects conducted by relevant Insulet corporate teams.
· Direct activities to synthesize and provide strategic access-related input in recurring portfolio management and strategic planning activities and processes. Lead in partnership with other internal stakeholders.
· Set-up, organize and lead the activities of the Insulet Market Access Global NETwork (MAGNET), the standing external Insulet panel of payers and payer influencers across global markets
· Ensure information is communicated to internal audiences and important stakeholders. Lead internal updates and executive level engagements and presentations, in collaboration with key internal global, US and international markets stakeholders.
· Perform other duties as required.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ideally economic modeling-supporting software applications.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in life/health sciences or related discipline, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s Degree preferred.
- Relevant years of hands-on (leadership) experience in market access in the life science industry (pharma and/or medtech), gained at global and/or regional level with ideally also local/affiliate access experience in either the US and/or other (high evidence demand/access barrier) markets (e.g. UK, France, Germany, Canada).
· Demonstrated understanding of the cardinal strategic inputs and access-related deliverables, decision making (facilitating data-driven go/no-go assessment recommendations) that are required in the different phases in the life cycle of medical technologies, in particular the early payer value-shaping/development phase with – ideally – also a proven track record in successfully shaping the early payer value proposition of assets/projects.
· Substantial understanding and knowledge of (access barriers in) the US and key ex-US healthcare ecosystems and the related payer value drivers and resulting
access requirements in general and in the field of medical technology in particular; their changing direction, and the positioning of various constituencies within these systems.
· Past or present access experience in the field of diabetes or cardiovascular diseases experience and in the payer value elucidation and demonstration of digital/data-driven solutions is strongly preferred.
Additional Information:
· The position can be remote, hybrid or in-person at one of the Insulet offices across the globe.
· Travel is estimated at 25% but will flex depending on business need.
