About the project:

The Markets Compliance & Steering Platform (MCSP) cluster develops and maintains a variety of applications to monitor trading transactions for market abuse and insider policy violations. The application inventory has been created over several years using different technical frameworks and is currently being successively renewed.

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Test Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess programming skills (e.g. Python, Java, or SQL) and demonstrate flexibility to adapt to evolving project requirements and environments. As a Test Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of our software products by developing robust automated testing frameworks and scripts. Your expertise will help us enhance our software development lifecycle, delivering reliable and efficient applications to our clients. Additionally, you will be tackling the unique challenges presented by our SaaS (Software as a Service) products, ensuring they meet high standards of reliability and scalability.
Additionally, as we utilize more and more vendor AI, we need to continuously test AI model behavior, e.g. by processing productive (test) data in production.

What you will be doing? 👇

In your role you will be involved in two areas of activities.

One of the main areas of activity is test automation. Here you will design test cases in close consultation with the business. Based on this, you will be able to use the standard tools (UFT, Selenium, Load runner) to automate the test execution. As a special challenge, you would be required to setup the testing in close alignment with our SaaS vendors (e,g, integration in Commerzbanks CI/CD pipeline).

In the second main area you will be involved in the support and the entire development life cycle of a product as follows:

• Analysis, application design, implementation (using Java and SQL) and testing (unit & integration)
• Test preparation (environment, Test cases creation)
• Creation and management of technical documentation
• Conceptional tasks around technical solutions, data- and business-/process models
• You are one of the experts for all aspects of the application development (design, develop and maintain)
• Support the rollout preparation

Which technology & skills are important for us? 👌

• Advanced knowledge of test automation tools (e.g. UFT, Selenium, LoadRunner)
• Good knowledge of Java, Oracle, JBoss, Tomcat
• English (B2 level)

Nice to have:

• UC4 or other job scheduling systems
• Good knowledge of Linux/Solaris
• Good knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
• Good knowledge of JBoss, WebSphere Application Server
• Good knowledge of HPQC / HPALM / Octane
• Do not worry, if you do not have experience in some of the points - we will provide trainings for you! 😉
