The Senior Product Designer partners with specialty product teams to design specialty products that satisfy and exceed customer needs. The Senior Product Designer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. This role will support Growth by offering new products in new sales channels.
The Senior Product Designer develops specialty product ideas, enhancements to existing products or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable product design features. Develops design briefs for new product ideas to present a clear, focused concept for strategic consideration. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Role responsibilities include:
- Support of Growth Initiatives in Individual and Retail.
- Support Growth Initiatives in Medicare Supplemental Dental and Vision product design
- Support product design initiatives for CarePlus

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 3-5 years or more of technical or business experience (Consumer Research, Consumer Insights and/or Market Research background)
- Background / Experience with working in a leadership role in the development and execution of Market Research related projects and deliverables
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent Communication and Presentation skills
- Desire to synthesize and summarize data findings
- Ability to work independently
- Work shift will be in Central or Eastern Time Zone
Preferred Qualifications
- Health Insurance Industry background
- Experience with Specialty products (Dental, Vision and Hearing)

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:
- At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
- Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
- Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
- Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
- Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$84,600 - $116,300 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
